Actress-model Sheila Sim tied the knot with her fiance Deon Woo in an intimate celebration on Sunday (Jan 28). The 33-year-old's wedding day comprised a gatecrash, solemnisation, tea ceremony and a 22-table lunch reception, The Celebrity Agency said in a statement. Thirteen tables were reserved for family members.

Those present were "very close friends of the couple", including some who flew in from Taiwan and Hong Kong, and those who saw them grow up, the agency added. Invited guests included makeup artist Clarence Lee, hairstylist Dexter Ng, fashion stylist Jeremy Tan, and artistes Chen Han Wei, Chew Chor Meng, Pan Ling Ling, Dennis Chew and Elvin Ng.

Sim met Woo, a 37-year-old Singaporean banker, on a dating application, according to previous media reports. He proposed to her at sunset on a snowy Hokkaido mountain top on New Year's eve in 2016, after they had been dating for about six months.

The 32-year-old's wedding day comprised a gatecrash, solemnisation, tea ceremony and a 22-table lunch reception, The Celebrity Agency said in a statement. Thirteen tables were reserved for family members.

Sim met Woo, a 37-year-old Singaporean banker, on a dating application, according to previous media reports.

He proposed to her at sunset on a snowy Hokkaido mountain top on New Year's eve in 2016, after they had been dating for about six months.

On Sunday, their wedding venue was decorated with "lots of balloons", inspired by the Disney Pixar movie Up.

Sim added in the statement: "On this big day, being married to him, all I can feel is 'I am home'."

The couple will be going on a holiday to Nozawa, Japan after the wedding, but the agency has said that this will not be their honeymoon as the actress is currently shooting a Channel 8 long-form drama, Reach For The Skies.

She will not be going for her honeymoon until production ends in September.
