Some of the region's biggest celebrities, including Story of Yanxi Palace actress Qin Lan and K-pop stars Cosmic Girls and Jeong Sewoon, worked the red carpet at Marina Bay Sands on Saturday afternoon (Dec 22)&nbsp;for the StarHub Night of Stars awards presentation ceremony.

Korean actor Lee Joon Gi and Chinese actress Qin Lan were the big winners of the night, taking home the 2018 StarHub Best Male and Female Asian Star Awards respectively.

Some of the region's biggest celebrities arrived on the red carpet at Marina Bay Sands on Saturday, Dec 22, for the Starhub Night of Stars awards ceremony. 

The event was hosted by Kate Pang, seen here with her son, Aden, and husband Andie Chen. 

Yanxi Palace actress Qin Lan looked regal in a silvery gown. She won the 2018 StarHub Best Female Asian Star Award for her role in the hit drama series.

Taiwanese singer-host Chen Meifeng sizzled in a see-through number.

The veteran entertainer brought some sizzle to the red carpet in her daring ensemble. She won the 2018 StarHub Evergreen Artiste Award.

Taiwanese host Pauline Lan was a head-turner in an eye-catching outfit which showed off her toned legs, tucked into thigh-high boots.

The plucky host definitely knew how to work a red carpet. Pauline won the 2018 StarHub Best Host Award for the entertainment series, Lady First Singapore, now in its 6th season.

Veteran Hong Kong actress Michelle Yim channelled her inner princess in a red gown. 

K-pop group Cosmic Girls were resplendent in white. The group took home the 2018 StarHub Most Charismatic Performance Award

South Korean boy band A.C.E nabbed the 2018 StarHub Best Newcomer Award.

Taiwanese actor Jasper Liu sent hearts aflutter. Liu received the 2018 StarHub Dazzling Star Award.

As did K-drama idol Lee Joong Gi, who looked dashing on the red carpet. Joon Gi’s realistic portrayal of the Lawless Lawyer earned him the 2018 StarHub Best Male Asian Star Award.

Fellow Taiwanese actor Derek Chang accepted the 2018 StarHub Rising Star Award for his role as a budding designer An Qing Hui in My Dear Boy.

K-pop star 'Ponyo' Jeong Sewoon drew loud screams and squeals from the audience who gathered outside the Sands Theatre to catch a glimpse of the stars. He won the 2018 StarHub Best Asian Drama OST Award.

Singaporean actor and Yanxi Palace star Lawrence Wong

Lawrence nabbed the 2018 StarHub Breakthrough Star Award (2018星和飞跃大奖) for his role as lively general Hai Lan Cha in Story of Yanxi Palace.

Fann Wong and husband Christopher Lee were supposed to attend the show, had to give it a miss as Fann had taken ill and had to be rushed to hospital. 

In her Instagram post, Fann wrote that she had to be rushed to hospital the minute she got off the plane, but gave no details on her illness. She also apologised for not being able to attend to her work commitments, and thanked doctors and nurses at Mount Elizabeth hospital for taking care of her.

Hong Kong beauty queen and actress Rebecca Zhu. Rebecca’s portrayal of Sheung Mei Mui, a lively stuntwoman in The Stunt earned her the 2018 StarHub Best TV Drama Character Award.

Veteran Hong Kong actor and Singapore resident, Benz Hui also made an appearance.

This year's TVB Best Actor, Joe Ma nabbed the 2018 StarHub Best TVB Artiste Award.

Viewers can catch the premiere of StarHub Night of Stars on Hub VV Drama (StarHub TV Channel 855) on Jan 13 at 7pm. The show will also be made available on Hub E City (StarHub TV Channel 111/825) on Jan 19, 8:45pm and Feb 4 at 4:30pm.
