Stars put sparkle back on Oscars red carpet after Golden Globes blackout

Hollywood's biggest and brightest shimmered on the red carpet at the 90th Academy Awards on Sunday evening -- a stark contrast to the sea of black witnessed during the Golden Globes in January.

And sparkle they did.

Jennifer Lawrence' metallic Dior number turned heads, as did Salma Hayek's bling Gucci gown. Incidentally, Hayek's outfit got the thumbs down from the Daily Mail, after it was deemed a 'shiny disaster'.

Actress Jennifer Garner also showed us that she's back in the game, looking better than ever in an electric blue Atelier Versace gown.
