The 80th Geneva Motor Show opened its doors to the public on Thursday after days of media preview.
Green technology - hybrids, electric cars and whatnots - continue to be the focus as car manufactures put out electric variants.
Ferrari, for instance, presented a hybrid version of its 599 GTB Fiorano (shown in our Sports cars section) as it studies how to apply hybrid technology to super cars.
In the small car segment, Audi presented the A1 (featured in small & green cars) for the first time. The direct challenger to BMW's Mini, the A1 is available in 1.2- and 1.4-litre variants.
A spokesperson for Audi Singapore said Singapore will be getting the 1.4-litre A1 in the first quarter of 2011. However, pricing has yet to be confirmed.
BMW's Mini Countryman, a four-door and all-wheel drive Mini, was also unveiled. The Countryman, however, should land on our shores earlier. BMW Asia spokesperson Erin Atan told AsiaOne they are hoping to get it by December this year.
That's all for now. Enjoy the pictures and do leave a comment!
