Asus collaborates with A Bathing Ape to give Vivobook S 15 OLED a makeover

As someone whose wardrobe is mainly made up of apparel from Uniqlo, the Factory Outlet Store and the Brands Outlet Store, I am not exactly the most fashion-forward individual. I tend to get lost in conversations when more fashionable peers talk about renowned streetwear fashion brands.

So, Asus' latest limited-edition Vivobook S 15 OLED Bape Edition (K5504) might not be the device for me but if you are into streetwear fashion brands or you are a fan of the Bathing Ape and you somehow are looking to replace your current laptop, then this could be the one for you.

Asus' Vivobooks have always been very sleek devices made for busy individuals who like to stay productive while they are on the go. By collaborating with A Bathing Ape (Bape), the Vivobook S 15 OLED Bape Edition will turn even more heads as it now sports a truly unique aesthetic that is inspired by the streetwear fashion brands' iconic camouflage design.

The laptop will be available in two colour combinations, Cool Silver is paired with blue camo while Midnight Black is paired with green camo.

Other than the intricate camo pattern on the chassis, the Vivobook S 15 OLED also now brandishes a reflective logo tag and touches of the Bape design elements can also be found on the touchpad, bottom of the device and the palm rest area.

To truly complete the look of your entire ensemble, this limited edition laptop will also come with accompanying accessories that are also adorned with the same pattern and colours.

The accessory bundle includes a Baby Milo figurine holding a Vivobook, an MD100 Marshmallow mouse with two interchangeable covers that match your chosen colourway (Black & Green/Blue), a compact but spacious carry bag and a set of stickers, which include a matching Bape-themed keyboard sticker set to spice up the "boring" black keyboard caps.

The Vivobook S 15 OLED Bape Edition is not a device that is just style over substance, in fact, it has plenty of performance under the hood that would keep even the most demanding user happy.

It is powered by an eight-core Intel Core i9-13900H processor with clock speeds that reaches up to 5.4GHz and is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Simply put, this laptop can and will effortlessly handle demanding tasks such as video editing and heavy multitasking. Furthermore, the laptop packs a 75Wh battery that promises all-day productivity.

When it comes to its display, this laptop has a 15.6-inch 2.8K 120Hz OLED display that has a WQHD+ (2,880 x 1,620) resolution and 2,600nits peak brightness. So you will be able to experience stunning visuals with vibrant colours, sharp details and smooth motion.

Combined with its Harmon Kardon-certified speakers with Dolby Atmos, Asus Audio Booster and Smart amplifier, you will have quite a multimedia powerhouse.

For Singapore, the Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED Bape Edition will retail at SGD2,349 and will be available starting from Aug 25. You can purchase it from the Asus Exclusive Store Bugis, Asus Online Store and all authorised retailers. Until Aug 24, 2023, you will receive a set of Asus x Bape mousepad and cleaning cloth worth SGD158 (while stocks last) if you pre-order this limited-edition laptop.

For Malaysia, the Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED Bape Edition is priced at MYR6,499 and is available from Asus authorised resellers or can be ordered via the official Asus e-Store.
