A new Pokemon title called Pokemon Masters will allow players to choose their favourite set of Pokemon trainers throughout the franchise's history.
The upcoming mobile game sees players engage in 3v3 battles using teams of three Pokemon trainers hand-picked by the player from the franchise's long list of famous faces.
According to a new trailer for the game, players can assemble teams of trainers including Misty and Brock, who were gym leaders in the first Pokemon game as well as travelling companions of lead character Ash Ketchum in the anime. Also included are stars from the latter parts of the anime series such as Iris, Barry, Viola, and Korrina.

Most of the gym leaders are available in the game, as are Red and Blue, the characters in the video games who were used as inspiration for Ash and his rival Gary Oak.
Professor Oak is also in the game, along with Team Rocket leader Giovanni.
The title also allows players to sync attacks with their Pokemon to take down their opponents, which are all found as 3v3 battles.

No confirmed release date as of writing, but the planned date is listed on the trailer as "Summer 2019", so it should be releasing fairly soon.

Pokemon Masters will be available for both iOS and Android and should arrive ahead of this year's hotly anticipated Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, which are set to be the first main Pokemon games released for the Nintendo Switch.
Let's Go Eevee! and Let's Go Pikachu! were released late last year, but the Switch titles are remakes of Pokemon Yellow, whereas Sword and Shield will be brand new games.
