There are certain cult hits that always seem to linger in the memory, always giving us hope that something good will come out of it eventually.
For Starship Troopers, 2022's Terran Command was not exactly the best real-time strategy effort, but that's not the end of things.
Coming later in 2023, the interesting 12-player squad-based co-op first-person shooter that is Starship Troopers: Extermination will be hitting Steam Early Access.
With a brand new gameplay trailer, Offworld Industries introduces what lies ahead for new soldiers on the frontline fighting against the Arachnid menace in Starship Troopers: Extermination.

There will be plenty to do as players try to complete objectives, acquire resources, build and defend a base of operations and escape from the bugs.
The focus on teamwork is clear, as the numbers game will always be on the side of the Arachnid.
There will be three playable classes, so make the smart pick between Assault, Support and Defence to round up your squad of four, with up to 12 players coming together at a time in Starship Troopers: Extermination.

Considering that you will be going up against the five unique bug types – the Drone, Warrior, Gunner, Plasma Grenadier and Tiger Elite – at launch, it's going to be hectic.
Defences will be key, so all the walls, towers, ammo stations and other useful structures will likely buy you more breathing space; just be sure to acquire enough resources from planetside refineries.
And with each successful battle, players can unlock new weapons, equipment and perks for each class to become an elite warfighter among the Deep Space Vanguard.
For now, Starship Troopers: Extermination does not yet have a set date for its Early Access launch, but needless to say, there will be many who will look forward to enlisting.
After all, the only good bug is a dead bug.
