Believe it or not, Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) existed way before Stranger Things popularised it and brought it into the mainstream consciousness.
It's a common myth that it takes a lot to start playing D&D but actually, all you need is a starter set.
There are currently two different starter sets available and Wizards let us have an exclusive hands-on preview of the recently released set titled Dragons of Stormwreck Isle.
We assembled new (and fairly new) players from our office to embark on a fantasy journey and all they needed was a piece of paper and a pen.
Yes, the starter set comes with everything the Dungeon Master (the person who runs the game) and their players need to kickstart the adventure — including the rulebook, pre-generated characters and dice.
