This one's for the fanboys and fangirls.
Local cosplayer Rurusama has set up a booth at the Singapore Comic Con (SGCC) for Dec 7 and 8, and she's offering a plethora of "fan service" from a slap on the face to a glimpse of her feet.
In an Instagram post yesterday (Dec 6), the 25-year-old shared the catalogue of merchandise she's selling at the convention as well as meet-and-greet information.
For $20, fans can get a 10-second interaction with her, ranging from head pats, hand holding, being used as a foot stool, a slap on the face and well as a whispered compliment.
$50 with get you one minute with Rurusama, where she can kabedon (crowd you against a wall), make eye contact, tell you "it is what it is" if you tell her your problems, bite a piece of Pocky together, or if you're a female fan, whisper into your ear.
But one lucky fan a day with $1,000 to spend will get to see the cosplayer's feet under the table, or be able to snag one strand of her hair (for "cloning purposes only", she joked).
"$1,000 for feet is gonna go so fast," commented local DJ and content creator Jade Rasif.
Another comment called her a "freaking cutie" and asked her: "How much to get married?"

AsiaOne spotted several fans gathered around Rurusama's booth at day one of SGCC today even before the cosplayer made her appearance at around 10.50am.
One fan who only wanted to be known as Chris told us that he has spent $90 on Rurusama's merch and wants to get his items autographed, but the 32-year-old will not be spending any money on interactions.
Another fan who declined to give his name shared that he had previously purchased merch from her in 2019 and 2021 and also wants to get them signed. He will also pay for interactions with Rurusama.
When asked what he thought about the $1,000 offers, the 26-year-old said, "It's your money, it's up to you" but that he wouldn't consider it himself.
AsiaOne also got a kabedon and whisper in the ear from Rurusama, which had us flustered.
$35,000 booth, teething issues
The price for getting a look at Rurusama's feet or a mere strand of her hair may be steep, but so was the cost of setting up the "Rurubooth".
In a series of videos on her Instagram, Rurusama shared that she had spent $60,000 last year, from the construction of the booth to the merch and paying her staff.

This year, she shared that SGCC had partnered with her and gave her the floor space for free. The remainder of her booth, including construction costs, had gone up to nearly $35,000.
Rurusama also shared some problems she had run into while manufacturing her custom merch, with one supplier telling her that her four jacket designs wouldn't be ready in time for SGCC.
That was nearly half of her new merch for this year.
Thankfully, she added that another manufacturer she was working with could do the new T-shirts in time, and that she was also releasing a cap.
"I thought four months were sufficient," she shared to anyone thinking of making new products.
"No, do it a year in advance."
