Armie Hammer's engagement to his fiancee Marina Gris has ended weeks after she announced they were planning to marry.

The Call Me By Your Name actor, 37, who recently relaunched his social media profile nearly three years after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct, was revealed to be engaged to IT consultant Marina, 26, in October 2023, when she shared a photo of a diamond band on her left ring finger as Armie also held the band.

But Marina — who describes herself as "super interested in psychopaths" — announced on her Instagram Story on Thursday (Jan 11) morning she and Armie had broken up, saying: "It's with a reflective heart that I announce the end of my journey with Armie, a chapter that's been deeply personal and warmly significant in my life and closed a month ago."

Marina added she is "aware of the conversations and stories circulating" about disgraced Armie, who was accused of rape, but insisted her experiences with the actor had been "positive" and "in no way reflective of these allegations".

She went on in her break-up statement: "I speak only from my perspective and my experiences and am not responsible for any of his past, current and future relationships.

"Our relationship was a space where I felt deeply appreciated, supported, loved and understood."

Marina also hailed Armie a "gentleman" and said their plan to marry was "rooted in strength, encouragement and deep mutual care" — but she admitted their split had been "tough".

She ended her statement by saying: "I am grateful to this relationship for the love and support I received, but now it's a closed chapter.

"As I wish Armie happiness and fulfilment, I hold onto our memories with fondness, including the laughter and light-hearted moments we shared. Be happy, shawty."

Marina had captioned her post of her engagement ring with an apparent reference to Armie's proposal, saying: "I said 'What is it, silly question day, American?'"

Marina also uploaded a photo of a massive bouquet of flowers from the star along with a card that said: "We are doing this. Forever."

The break-up comes around seven months after Armie finalised his divorce from his 41-year-old former wife Elizabeth Chambers.

Los Angeles police launched an investigation in 2021 into rape claims made by a woman named Effie against Armie, but announced in May 2023 the actor would not face charges.

He strongly denied the allegations, which infamously also included cannibalistic fantasies.
