It was a night of big wins for Singapore television at the 4th Asia Rainbow TV Awards on Saturday (Jan 12).
Held in Hainan, China, the event saw numerous entries from China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Iran, and India vie for top honours in the TV industry.
Perhaps proving that her husband's comedic talent has rubbed off on her, actress Jesseca Liu won Outstanding Leading Actress in Comedy for her role in Hero. The drama was also awarded Outstanding Comedy.
Following her win, the 40-year-old wrote on Instagram: "I never thought that I'd have the chance to receive an award for acting in a comedy. I'd like to thank the funnyman in my life, Jeremy Chan."

Her joy was echoed by Jeremy who responded with: "I'm so proud of you! We've got a new 'goddess' in the family!".
Just last month, the 38-year-old actor scooped up an award for Best Comedy Performance at the Asian Academy Creative Awards. Talk about double happiness.
At the event, several Singapore hosts also received accolades for their work in TV programmes.

Veteran host Kym Ng clinched the award for Outstanding Variety Host for Ah Ma Can Cook. Kym revealed on Instagram that the series, which won Outstanding Variety Show, is set for a sequel, titled Ah Gong Can Cook.
Meanwhile, Darren Lim and Joanna Dong won Best Entertainment Host and Hostess respectively for National Flavours, which was also awarded Best Infotainment Programme.

Reflecting on her win, Joanna wrote on Instagram: "I am admittedly not the type of host who can captivate a room - for someone who still struggles with speaking publicly at times, I am so grateful that there is a television format that allows me to be a better version of myself onscreen."
