Fiona Xie channels her inner Kitty Pong in new Instagram posts

Basking in the sunshine at a picturesque private beach, Fiona Xie appears to be living the high life in her recent Instagram posts.

The 36-year-old actress shared photos of her trip to a luxury resort in Thailand and took every opportunity to pose for the 'gram.

Posing in a white crochet bikini in an infinity pool, she reminds one of Kitty Pong, a character she played in the summer hit Crazy Rich Asians.

The bubbly, gold-digging character made an impression on many moviegoers and is reported to be playing a bigger role in a sequel titled China Rich Girlfriend.

Like Kitty, Xie said she thinks she's always the life of the party, but "I'm Kitty without the loose morals."

Crazy Rich Asians, based on the New York Times bestseller book of the same name by author Kevin Kwan, is a worldwide hit.

For those curious about the upcoming sequel, Xie would only reveal to AsiaOne that "the script is still in development."

While a release date is not out yet, it has been reported that it will be filmed in Shanghai, China.
