Why is my reflection someone I don't know?
That was my first thought as I tried the viral ageing filter from FaceApp that's taking social media by storm.
According to Newsweek, the app uses artificial intelligence to "suggest what we may look like in 40 or 50 years".
And no, I shall not put my ratchet 70-year-old self on display for laughs.
Let's just say that curiosity killed the cat for my FaceApp challenge.
That said, there were local celebrities who were game enough to see what they would look like in 40 years and frankly, ageing is a scary thing.
ANDIE CHEN

Local actor Andie Chen, 34, got the ball rolling yesterday (July 16) when he applied the filter to look like a kind, caring Asian grandpa-next-door.
Guess that's who Kate Pang (his wife) will be stuck with, eh?

A few hours later, 36-year-old Kate herself posted this with the caption: "I've been waiting for my husband to come home until my skin has wrinkled.
"He said he's filming a movie but I don't even know where he is. He's not answering his phone and I don't know what he's doing."
ALLAN WU

Leave it to Chinese-American hunk, Allan Wu, to show off his bod with his #faceappchallenge. But he also took the opportunity to post a PSA for people to take care of themselves by making better choices.
In case you can't already tell, the 47-year-old father of two is quite the fitness junkie.
We can't help but feel like something's off about the photo though; a sentiment that was echoed by TV host Nadya Hutagalung who commented: "Something slightly off-putting here."
BOBBY TONELLI

Oh my, who is that strapping silver fox on that motorcycle who looks like a model who just walked off the pages of a fashion magazine?
We need a glass of water ASAP because the thirst is real and 43-year-old Bobby Tonelli is werking that silver mane.
BENJAMIN KHENG

Not only is he the youngest of the lot to try out the filter (at 28), but Benjamin Kheng also went through the effort of giving himself a 'beer belly' so he gets brownie points from us.
And, it definitely looks like he will still be getting tons of female attention as a 68-year-old as a few of my female colleagues exclaimed: "Eh, he's not bad!"
CYNTHIA KOH

The veteran actress seems to be relishing her newfound face and found beauty in ageing. Cynthia Koh, 45, took on the challenge with the caption: "Wow I don’t mind looking like this when I’m old.
"Used the FaceApp to create this look la... Still chio le!!!"
As more people take on the #faceappchallenge, I wonder how many will pass the test of time.
