It's been such a bad year for everyone so far that there's even a diary that allows you to complain like a true Singaporean.

But before 2020 closes, it seems intent on dishing out just one more piece of bad news — former actor Joshua Ang is divorcing his wife of two years.

According to a report on 8 World, the 31-year-old was asked about his marriage while promoting Jack Neo's new film The Diam Diam Era, but he refused to comment.

However, on the night of Dec 14, he went on social media to announce his divorce. He started off with the Oscar Wilde quote "divorces are made in Heaven" before he said he had "good news" to share. He hoped that when netizens learn of the news, they would congratulate him instead of consoling him or showing him pity.

It was also reported that he published an old photo — where he was holding a sonogram of his son with his estranged wife Shannon — with the caption "Happy divorce".

Joshua didn't reveal the reason behind the split and he has removed all photos and posts of Shannon from his social media account.

A quick check today (Dec 15) also revealed that he has made his Instagram account private.

Joshua, who became famous as a child actor for his roles in I Not Stupid and Homerun, married Shannon in 2018. They had their son Jed in the same year as well.

Just last year, Joshua opened up about his terrifying experience with his confinement nanny. Joshua claimed that the nanny had many unreasonable requests and overfed Jed. The baby, who was just eight days old at that time, was subsequently admitted to the hospital for aspiration pneumonia, with milk in his lungs.

Joshua said Jed had choked on the milk, which was why it was in his lungs, and he discovered that the nanny didn't feed Jed properly.

"We checked the teats of the bottle, and true to our suspicions, she had cut the teat of the bottles, large enough to fit a straw through. The milk flow was way too fast for Jed. And Jed was only a week old," he wrote.
