Stars of hit Taiwanese movie More Than Blue, Jasper Liu and Annie Chen, specially held a "Thank You Tour" in Singapore yesterday (Jan 24) to celebrate its success.
Released here last month, the film has been crowned Singapore's top-grossing Asian movie of 2018, after crossing $1.8 million at the box office.
It also holds the strongest opening weekend for a Taiwanese movie here since 2016, having earned nearly $167,000 on just eight screens.
In order to thank fans for their overwhelming support and love for the film, Jasper and Annie made it a point to stop by a few places to meet their fans up close.
The two of them first held an intimate fan meet at 2mm Talent Hub in the afternoon, where they interacted with fans at a more personal level. They shared their experiences and thoughts filming the movie, while the fans shared what they liked most about the movie.
Local singer Yokez also showed up at the event to perform a cover of More Than Blue's theme song, A Kind of Sorrow.
The duo then headed down to Bugis+ at night for a meet-and-greet session, in order to meet with more fans. Many turned up, hoping to catch a glimpse of them. Fans had a blast as the stars signed autographs and exchanged handshakes with them.
More Than Blue is a remake of the 2009 South Korean movie of the same name. The film centres on K, played by Jasper, and Cream (Ivy Chen), who have lived together since young because they have no other family, but are technically not in a romantic relationship. When K learns of a terrible news, he secretly tries to plan the rest of Cream's life.
