Princess Hour's 'Prince Lee Yul' may get his perfect image tarnished with this unfolding scandal.
Korean actor Kim Jeong-hoon, well known for his lead role in the 2006 drama, has been accused of urging his ex-girlfriend to undergo an abortion, just so that he could "maintain his image as a celebrity".
The 39-year-old star finally responded with a statement on Thursday (Feb 28) evening -- two days after news of his ex suing him went viral.
"After finding out about the woman's pregnancy through an acquaintance, he (Jeong-hoon) told her multiple times that he will take up the responsibility of raising the child, if the baby is confirmed as his," wrote the official statement from Jeong-hoon's agency, Creative Kwang.
"However, they did not come to a conclusion due to their difference in opinions," they added.
Korean media have reported that the lady in question had actually filed the lawsuit on Feb 21, and nothing was clarified by Jeong-hoon nor his agency till date.
Aside from the "forced abortion", Jeong-hoon's ex-girlfriend also accused him of not coughing up the money that he had originally promised to.
"He promised that he would provide 10 million won (S$12,000) for my home's security deposit as well as the monthly rent, but he severed contact with me after only making 1 million won down payment," the woman wrote in her accusation.
In the document, she asked to be paid 9 million won, which is the remaining security deposit, and the monthly rent during the lease period.

Jeong-hoon's latest work involved 'dating' a woman named Kim Jin Ah on a variety show, Taste of Love.
"My desire to date someone has been decreasing as I don't have any opportunity to meet someone new nowadays," the star had revealed on the programme, prior to getting matched with Jin Ah. The couple have since gotten much love and support from viewers.
According to Taste of Love producers, Jeong-hoon had "shown eagerness to date during their pre-production interview," saying that it had been "over two years" since he has dated someone.
"We had trusted him and got him to appear in the show. As the producers, we are very shocked to hear about this news. We hope the truth will be revealed as soon as possible.”
Jeong-hoon's agency concluded their statement by saying that they will try their best to resolve the matter peacefully, but "will take legal action if we believe that there is any false information related to this issue."
"We sincerely apologise to the staff of Taste of Love and to Kim Jin Ah who was hurt by this incident. We also apologise once again to everyone who was upset by this news," they added.
With all that said though, doesn't Jeong-hoon look good as a dad?
