It took 12 years and 21 feature films for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to reach the conclusion of the Infinity Saga.
On the evening of April 22 (April 23, Singapore time), the cast of Avengers: Endgame descended upon the Los Angeles Convention Centre for the world premiere of the film.
This is Marvel Studios' largest movie premiere and it seems that the studio spared no expense in making this event a showstopper.
A 12-metre tall 'A' (symbol of the Avengers) on a revolving stand was erected in the convention center, along with a LEGO installation that was constructed using 44,800 LEGO bricks and took approximately 270 hours.
The installation featured the 'A' sign and four custom pieces made for the premiere - Hulk's hands, Captain America's shield, the Infinity Gauntlet, and a model of Iron Man.
The purple carpet featured the who's who of the MCU as a parade of stars strutted their stuff, including those from the extended MCU such as the cast of the television show, Agents of Shield.
The original Avengers - comprising Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner - were definitely present for the cinematic event of the season.
Also spotted on the carpet were actors like Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), and Letitia Wright (Shuri) who played characters that were snapped out of existence by Thanos.
Cast members from Agents of Shield such as Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Jeff Ward graced the event with their presence.
