The toughest part of owning a pet is having to say goodbye too soon.

Losing a furkid to ill health or old age is not only heart-wrenching for pet owners -- it's also painful to watch as an outsider.

S.H.E's Selina Jen is the unlucky one to have her heart broken this time.

Just this afternoon (March 13), the 37-year-old star revealed on Instagram that her beloved dog of 15 years had passed on.

"My precious one, my beloved dog, my princess Pinky Ren Bing Zhi, thank you for giving me 5699 blissful days. At 8.21am today, you left me -- quietly and softly in my arms at home," wrote Selina.

The dog mama also said how she is refusing to put up a black and white photo of Pinky because her beloved dog "will always look the same as she had been when she was alive."

"I love you like how you have loved me," she concluded.

And love each other they did.

Pinky could be often seen sending the singer off at the airport.

Selina even video called home just to see her princess.

"Even though you can't see nor hear me, I still love watching you sleep, watching you eat, watching you do anything and everything," Selina wrote on her Instagram in February.

HEALTH SCARE

Selina's beloved dog actually had a major health scare back in July 2016; fans even thought Pinky had died then when the star posted a black and white photo of the both of them.

Selina quickly made a correction, telling fans that Pinky was fine.

"I believe Pinky could live up to 18 years old if I take good care of her," wrote Selina adding that she knows that there will be a day Pinky will pass on.

"But I wish that day never ever comes," she continued.
