Reality shows make great water cooler conversations because there's so much drama and so much to hate.

In fact, what makes a great reality show is if it's so bad that it's good; and Netflix's Love Is Blind is no exception to the rule. With a premise that relies on 30 men and women speed dating in 'pods' — where they can only talk to each other but not see each other — before deciding who to propose to, it's a recipe for sweet disaster.

Don't just take it from us though, it's even ranked 6th (as of March 9) on Netflix Singapore's Top 10 feature and it might be because the reunion episode dropped last Friday (March 6).

From a catfight between two women who were vying for the same man, to awkward reunions between jilted lovers, and an even more awkward friendship 'proposal', Love Is Blind's reunion episode was the get-together fans were waiting for.

Alas, they skimped on the drama, and here at AsiaOne, we have lots to say about it and the show.

CAMERON'S STORY MADE ME TEAR

"The reunion episode is too short and I thought there were parts that were abruptly cut off. Cameron's story on winning over Lauren's dad was so sweet and made me tear, and Amber going off at Jessica about trying to steal her man is the stuff reality shows are made of.

"It's refreshing that Amber and Barnett were so candid about their marital problems from being married so soon, but that being said, I'll put my money on them decoupling before the next season airs.

"It was shocking when Kelly said no to Kenny, because there were no warning signs at the start (due to sly editing perhaps); he seems like a mature, dependable guy girls would want to marry and their families meshed so well!" - Candice, Lead Content Strategist (Lifestyle)

DISAPPOINTED WITH THE REUNION EPISODE

"To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the reunion episode. Other than the confrontation between Amber and Jessica, the other parts were quite boring. The highlight for me was watching Amber roll her eyes every time Jessica spoke. The apology from Carlton seemed too OTT (over the top) and fake.

"The first season of Love Is Blind was pretty engaging — I finished the entire season in two days. It's interesting to see how Jessica was crafted to appear like the b**** of the season but not exhibiting the typical traits of one you would see on a usual reality show. As someone who's produced reality shows, I would say the authenticity of the show is 50-50. It's never 100 per cent genuine.

"A WTF moment [on the series] was when Jessica kissed Amber on the lips at the hen's night and called her 'baby'. It was so unnecessary and fake." - Juliet, Lead Digital Producer

JESSICA IS 'CRAY'

"I just wish there were more catfights between Amber and Jessica or they could, like, open the time up for the other couples to comment about the drama. Everything Jessica did was very appalling. She fed her dog wine! This girl is cray! Though, I must say Jessica felt like she's moved on and seemed really genuine with her apology to Amber.

"The series was cringy and confusing, and I didn't think I'll be so hooked. Like, it's so bad that it's good, and I have to binge-watch to know the progress of the couples. Where did all the other contestants go? Are they so boring that they're not given air-time?

"I think Lauren and Cameron is the only couple that will last. Amber and Barnett, I'll give them three years tops." - Melissa, Senior Content Strategist (Lifestyle)

'I NEEDED MORE DRAMA'

"I needed more drama! I don't need one hour of them saying how great the show was, or how great the others were. There were so many things I wanted them to address, like the Jessica-Amber kiss and Jessica feeding her dog wine. I would also have loved a more nuanced discussion on the whole Carlton-Diamond issue instead of that awkward friend-proposal.

"With how much is edited out, it's really hard to judge how real their relationships are. But based on what we're shown, I'm rooting for Cameron and Lauren 1,000 per cent. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the way they get choked up talking about each other's family is so precious. If they're faking it, then they both deserve Oscars.

"This is the epitome of mindless reality TV but that's precisely why I love it.There's nothing like kicking back after a long day of work and judging other people's relationship issues. A little more diversity among the contestants would also be great." - Kimberly, Content Strategist

#CANCELJESSICA

"Amber cutting Jessica down for coming after Barnett was easily the highlight, and I needed someone to call her ass out because she was insufferable and delusional. And why was Mark so nice to her? #canceljessica

"Carlton's weird friend-proposal to Diamond seemed like a PR stunt to get haters off his back, and I think he needs to get his act together instead of blaming the fallout on others. Damian getting back together with Giannina was also a shocker for me since she was incredibly rude to him about the whole 'not-the-best-sex' thing.

"And hello, you gave your one true success story — Cameron and Lauren — only a few minutes of air-time? Are you kidding me? Like, isn't the whole point to prove that love is blind? Since we're getting real too, can we not cast conventionally gorgeous people and then claim that love/attraction isn't based on looks?" - Bryan, Content Strategist (Entertainment)
