This week, local stars are hogging the limelight with their Insta-snaps as they ushered in the Year of the Pig.

Be it celebrating the festival with fellow actors and actresses, or family and friends, local or overseas, these stars sure looked like they had a fine swine time during Chinese New Year.

Did veteran actresses such as Zoe Tay and Fann Wong, dukes and princesses of Mediacorp, local singers and the stars of Crazy, Rich Asians, celebrate the festive season like we, regular people, did? Let's find out.

Star-lit parties

Celebrity hairstylist David Gan might not have talked about his star-studded festive party on his Instagram page, but few of his attendees did.

Other than singer Kelly Poon, Jocie Guo, Derrick Hoh, actresses Fann Wong, Felicia Chin, Pan Ling Ling, Patricia Mok, Dawn Yeoh, Ann Kok, and actors Chen Han Wei, Chase Tan, who were spotted at the party, billionaire heiress Kim Lim was also there at David's annual affair.

The Asians in Los Angeles also had a reunion dinner this festive season.

Kevin Kwan, author of Crazy, Rich Asians, rapper ShiGGa Shay, actresses Fiona Xie, Kheng Hua, Victoria Loke, and actor Chris Pang shared a huge feast and rung in the New Year in a way unlike others.

#OOTD

Like many of us, stars are super into the #OOTD (outfit of the day) scene too.

Get inspired by huat they wore.

Celeb couple Kimberly Wang and Shane Pow continued their annual tradition of snapping their 'couple' OOTD at a similar location.

The Sam Willows band members Narelle and Benjamin Kheng showed off their sense of style in this family snap. We could never carry off those tartan pants and that floral shirt!

Piggy things

Former local actress Sora Ma, Yvonne Lim (and her husband, Alex Tien, ex-Taiwanese boy band B.A.D member), actress Rui En, and radio DJ Dennis Chew join in the Year of the Pig celebrations by literally becoming 'pigs'.

Actress Joanne Peh and husband, actor Qi Yu Wu are in Guangzhou (Yu Wu's hometown) to celebrate the new year.

The sweet couple (and their two little ones) ushered in the Year of the Pig "finding time to date, exercise, run errands, while managing a preschooler and a toddler who lucky for us, discovered a game of picking up 'small durians' and arranging them around the trees."

We have no idea where celeb couple Jesseca Liu and Jeremy Chan ran off to celebrate their Chinese New Year (and escape the mayhem), but how cute do they look in this couple outfit?

Heart-warming families

Television host Jamie Yeo, celebrity couples Kate Pang and Andie Chen, Fann Wong and Christopher Lee, Diana Ser and James Lye Insta-snaps just made us go awww.

All in all, stars are just like regular people during Chinese New Year -- they party, take #ootd, take pig-tures with families and friends, and pig out too.
