McDonald's launching Chilli Crab Sauce Burger in collab with Jumbo Seafood, also releasing limited-edition Lunch Bag

Every National Day, McDonald's Singapore adds a local twist to their menu with items like the Nasi Lemak Burger, Ha Cheong Gai Burger and Satay Burger.
This year, in celebration of SG60, they're taking things up a notch as they team up with popular Singaporean restaurant Jumbo Seafood to release the new Chilli Crab Sauce Burger from July 10, the fast-food chain announced at a press event today (July 8).
The launch of the new burger marks McDonald's Singapore's and Jumbo Seafood's first collaboration and comes alongside other local food- and beverage-inspired menu items.
The Chilli Crab Sauce Burger will come in two variants: the Chilli Crab Sauce Prawn Burger and Chilli Crab Sauce Chicken Burger — both served with lettuce, scrambled egg, brioche buns and doused with a sweet, tangy and slightly spicy chilli crab sauce.
According to McDonald's Singapore, the chilli crab sauce used is inspired by Jumbo Seafood's award-winning chilli crab recipe and had been in development since August 2024, with more than 50 iterations before being approved by the restaurant.
Ang Kiam Meng, executive chairman and group CEO of Jumbo Group, said in a press release: "Chilli Crab holds a special place in every Singaporean's heart, and it's exciting to see this iconic dish reimagined so creatively.
"While rooted in our rich heritage, we're always looking to innovate, and this partnership with McDonald's is a fantastic way to showcase our signature chilli crab sauce in a fresh, bold way."
Prices for the Chilli Crab Sauce Burgers start from $8.95 for an Extra Value Meal.
For those who can't get enough of the sauce, the Chilli Crab Sauce Tub will also be available for purchase at $1.
Other new local F&B-inspired menu items for this year's National Day include Kampung Drumlets (from $3.35) featuring drumlets coated in a blend of chilli, turmeric, cumin and ginger; and Ice Dinosaur (from $4.15), a take on Singapore's iconic Milo Dinosaur drink.
This National Day menu launch will also see the return of the Pulut Hitam Pie (from $1.80) and Chendol Cone (from $1.30).
In addition to the new menu, McDonald's Singapore will also be releasing a limited-edition McDonald's Lunch Bag — a thermal insulated bag carrier from July 28 at 11am.
The lunch bag will be available at $7.90 with purchase of any meal (excluding Happy Meals).
McDonald's members will get early access from July 24, 2pm to 6pm and will be able to redeem the McDonald's Lunch Bag for 1,500 MyM reward points exclusively on the McDonald's app.
The item will be distributed at a first-come-first-served basis and while stocks last.
