Uniqlo's latest designer collab with Marni is here

Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo is well-loved for its simplicity and functionality. Italian luxury fashion brand Marni takes on a bold and playful approach to dressing. What happens when the two brands collide? In an unlikely collab, the two have joined hands to launch a unique collection that's made for everyone and everyday.

For the first time, the functionality, minimalism and fabric innovation of Uniqlo's LifeWear is punctuated with Marni's art-focused design approach on colours, shapes and prints. Think pop-style, gingham and warm graphic prints alongside warm summery and earthy hues of red, cobalt, khaki, ecru and olive green.

Marni's DNA is reflected in the silhouettes too, with relaxed cuts and balloon updates; there's the Balloon Skirt with diagonal pleating for a light and voluminous look, as well as a Blocktech coat in a cocoon silhouette. For the men, there are tailored jackets, oversized utility jackets in solid colours and gingham prints, and colour block Pocketable Parkas.

The line-up includes nine womenswear items, 10 menswear items, and one accessory, and will be released at the end of May. The exact date is to be confirmed. Prices range between $79.90 to $199.90 for outerwear, $39.90 to $59.90 for shirts and blouses, $39.90 to $99.90 for dresses and $14.90 for accessories (socks).

The full collection will be launched at Orchard Central Global Flagship, ION Orchard, Tampines Mall, 51@AMK and online at Uniqlo.com. Selected items available at all stores.
