Car crashes through wall, plunges 3 storeys after accelerator mix-up at KL car park

A 23-year-old car wash worker sustained serious injuries after an apparent accelerator mix-up caused a car he was washing to crash through a wall and plunge from the third floor of a building at Old Klang Road in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the incident occurred at 5.38pm on Monday (June 16), Bernama reported.
The man — an Afghan national — had been washing a Toyota Camry car at the car park of a service apartment. He lost control of the vehicle while attempting to park it after it was cleaned, according to the Malaysian news agency.
The car then smashed through a wall before plunging three storeys down, landing on two other vehicles — a Proton Iriz and a Perodua Myvi — parked at ground level.
No one was inside the parked vehicles at the time of the incident.
The man sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for emergency treatment, Bernama reported.
