Heavy rains cause flash floods in Singapore

[Update, Jan 9] SINGAPORE - Moderate to heavy thundery showers fell over many parts of Singapore on Monday morning (Jan 8), causing flash floods in several areas.

A lift that was shown in a viral video overflowing with rainwater had been inundated with water due to a choked gully, the Tampines Town Council said on Monday night (Jan 8).
