The Silver Screen Awards' red carpet glittered with stars on Saturday night (Dec 8) as they gathered to celebrate filmmaking talents in Asia.
Yeo Siew Hua's A Land Imagined is the first-ever Singapore film to be awarded Best Film in the Asian Feature Film Competition at the Singapore International Film Festival.
The film was unanimously selected by the jury from a total of eight nominated feature films from across Asia.
Other awards presented that night include: Best Director: Pham Thu Hang in The Future Cries Beneath Our Soil; Best Performance: Manoranjoan Das in Bulbul Can Sing; Special Mention: Dayan by Iranian director Behrouz Nooranipour; Honorary Award: Rithy Panh; Cinema Legend Award: Joan Chen; Inspiring Woman in Film Award: Luna Kwok.
