Coronavirus cases cross 5,000 mark with 623 new patients

The Ministry of Health has preliminarily confirmed 623 new coronavirus cases in Singapore today (April 17), a drop from yesterday's daily record of 728. Most of the new cases are foreign workers living in the dormitories.

Further details will be provided later tonight.

A total of 5,050 cases have been reported in Singapore so far, with 683 cases discharged and 10 deaths.
