[UPDATE March 12] Euphemia Lee told AsiaOne that the matter has been resolved by the police.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, or a lady cheated out of a meal on her first date.

In an attempt to publicly shame a man who pulled a disappearing act on his partner after dinner, a Facebook user dug out his personal details and posted them online.

The information included his full name, workplace and social media usernames among others.

She had done so to warn others of this scammer, Euphemia Lee said on March 10, adding that she's a friend of the victim.

The man, surnamed Toh, was said to have offered to pay for the meal, but later pretended to take a phone call and left his date to foot the $130 bill at a sushi restaurant on March 9. He allegedly blocked her phone number too.

Worse still, he did not use his real name in the dating platform where he met Lee's friend. Lee said she found out his name through PayLah!.

While many Facebook users have commented on her post with their opinions on who should be paying for the meal when out on a date, a few others zoomed in on a potential case of doxxing.

Lee stood her ground on the exposé, saying: "He has reported my prior posts but I will be relentless in shaming him so that everyone will know his ugly face and not get scammed by him!"

She added that Toh has since "gone into hiding" and deactivated his social media accounts.

While cheating is an offence, it appears that Lee could be courting trouble, as her actions may have breached the Protection from Harassment Act.

When an individual or entity publishes personal information of a person with the intent to harass, alarm or distress them, it is considered an act of 'doxxing'.

Those found guilty of 'doxxing' with the intent to cause harassment could face a fine of up to $5,000 or a jail term of up to six months.
