Police start evicting hundreds of migrants from Paris theatre

PARIS — Police on Tuesday (March 18) started carrying out a large-scale eviction of more than 400 migrants who have been occupying the Gaite Lyrique theatre in central Paris for more than three months.
Officers began their operation shortly before 6am (1pm in Singapore) at the theatre where hundreds of demonstrators had gathered to protest against the eviction.
