When it comes to user privacy, Apple takes it very seriously. The tech giant has released a new "Today at Apple" session, "Taking Charge of Your Privacy on iPhone" that will teach users how to protect their privacy on their phones.
Beginning Jan 28, the in-store sessions will explore features like Mail Privacy Protection, Safety Check, Location Services and passkeys. It will also teach attendees how to customise their individual privacy preferences.
Just like the brand's other creative sessions, "Taking Charge of Your Privacy" is also free for attendees. All interested participants have to do is sign up on Apple's website for the 30 minutes session. It is preferred that participants bright their own iPhone updated with iOS 16 to make the most out of the session.
"We created 'Today at Apple' to spark creativity and enable our customers to get the most out of their Apple products and features," said Tracey Hannelly, senior director of Retail Engagement and Marketing.
"We're thrilled to offer this new 'Today at Apple' session to help our customers learn more about our industry-leading privacy features as we celebrate Data Privacy Day."
This is just one of Apple's many efforts to raise awareness around privacy and to equip its users with the required skills and resources to protect their data. Other efforts over the years from the tech brand include App Tracking Transparency and blocking sideloading.
