Elva Hsiao worries fans with recent Instagram post

Elva Hsiao worries fans with recent Instagram post

Is Elva Hsiao doing ok?

Fans are worried about the Mandopop singer after watching a video clip she posted on Instagram on Thursday (July 18).

In the video, Elva appeared drowsy as she talked, and even dozed off twice.

She mumbled, "Good morning, guys. I'm now in Beijing."

"I will show you a happier 'me' -- what you want to see and what I myself want to see."

The caption that accompanied the video was just as puzzling. She wrote: "It's midnight, I really miss my furkid.

"But I'm hungry. I'll go to bed after eating something, bye."

While some fans were tickled by what they thought was an inebriated Elva, others voiced their concerns about the 39-year-old.

"Are you OK Elva?" a fan asked.

"Get some rest. Sometimes a good sleep will help you to de-stress," said another.

Others sent encouraging messages asking her to "hang in there, we'll support you forever."

Later that day, Elva herself put their worries to rest by writing: "Nope I am just desalt (sic) my babes and fell asleep lol. I think I was sleep-talking."

She also shared a handwritten note on Weibo, saying: "I was very happy yesterday because I watched Friends.

"I was thinking, if I forgot the childhood humour that used to make my family smile. How about you, me, him or her?

Elva added that she had a spicy meal, which appeared to lift her out of the pensive mood.

Since she went on a hiatus in 2017 due to unidentified health problems, fans have been watching the singer's social media accounts closely for updates, hoping that she will make a comeback.
