Simon Yam's daughter, Ella Yam, recently took our breath away with her behind-the-scenes snaps at Vogue Taiwan's photoshoot.
Yet, her daddy doesn't approve of her going into showbiz.
At the Hong Kong premiere of the film Little Q on Tuesday (July 16), the veteran actor expressed his joy for his 14-year-old daughter.
The 64-year-old told the media: "She takes after her mother and her legs are even longer than mine.
"However, I don't encourage her to act in movies because it's not good for a little girl to go hungry and stay up late.
"I'm the only actor in the family and that's enough. I hope that she can spend more time with me."

Simon also admitted that it was okay for his daughter to model once in a while for fun while growing up, but he would not approve of her going into modelling full-time.
When asked about Ella setting up a Weibo account, he commented: "It seems like it. But, I've been busy these few days and I haven't had time to talk to her."
It was also reported that Ella and supermodel mum, Qi Qi, were present at the film premiere.
ELLA AND HER LONG LEGS

In a move that rocked Weibo, Ella set up her own account this week and shared some photos of her modelling for Vogue Taiwan.
The 1.8m-tall teen was not just showing off her leggy stature (and one that could rival Karen Mok), she was also serving supermodel realness.
Weibo users were quick to point that out and likened her to a "fairy" or an "angel".
Incidentally, Ella graced the cover of Cosmopolitan Hong Kong last month and became the youngest model to do so.
Proud mum Qi Qi shared some photos from the spread and wrote on Instagram: "The girl who dislikes dressing up and having her photographs taken has finally tried something she's unfamiliar with. Well done, Ella!"
