Babies in Thailand with coronavirus face shields for protection steal hearts

Babies born in the Covid-19 era at hospitals in Thailand are facing a whole new reality.
One where they not only get swaddled but also fitted with coronavirus face shields the minute they are born.
Photos of the adorable bundles of joy delivered at Praram 9 Hospital and Paolo Hospital in Bangkok swiftly went viral, and it’s easy to see why.
The hospitals are using the shields to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Behold the cuteness here:
Thailand has so far reported 2,613 cases of the virus, with 41 deaths. The capital is effectively under lockdown with an overnight curfew imposed throughout the country.
According to the AFP, the tiny face shields will also be worn by the newborns when they make their first journey home.
