Take him to The Salon's The Gourmet Grill buffet this Father's Day and let the staff there do all the work for him as he enjoys an unlimited serving of hot sizzling meats cooked on a charcoal fire-grill. There's the deliciously smoky Grilled Beef Striploin, Marinated Fresh Herbs Cajun Boneless Chicken Thigh, Chicken and Lamb Kebabs, Sambal Stingray wrapped in Banana Leaf, and five types of Gourmet Sausages.

Accompanying the hearty mains are sides such as Roasted Pumpkin with Manuka Honey, Oven-baked Potatoes with Condiments and Corn on the Cob. RUTH'S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE

Brooks Brothers - known for their impeccable shirts - and luxury steak house Ruth's Chris Steak House are partnering for the first time to present a curated four-course dinner as itsFather's Day dining promotions. Why this partnership? It's to celebrate their long-standing history as reputed American brands. The set comes with your choice of appetisers - either the restaurant's signature sizzling Blue Crab Cake with generous portions of crab meat, the creamy Lobster Bisque with bits of lobster flesh or the light Caesar Salad.

For entrees, you won't go wrong - they are a steak house, after all - with their corn-fed steaks that are broiled in high heat to seal in its flavours. Go for the tender Midwestern Petite Filet steak (a good portion for the ladies) or the custom-aged USDA Prime Ribeye or New York cuts.

We tried the USDA Prime Ribeye, which came piping hot, topped with melting butter and served on a plate heated to high heat for Ruth's trademark sizzle. Juicy, flavourful and so soft that the flesh simple melted in your mouth, it was truly one of the best steaks we've ever eaten. If beef is not your thing, you could take your pick from Market Fresh Fish or Stuffed Chicken Breast. All entrees are served with a choice of side of creamed spinach, potatoes au gratin, lyonnaise potatoes, or grilled asparagus. End the meal sweetly with Ruth's Mini Cheesecake with Fresh Berries. Also know as a New Orleans cheesecake (a cousin to its New York version), it is creamy and rich, yet light on the palate. Wash it down with coffee or tea.

Give your rugged, tough-guy dad a surprise by treating him to a Father's Day posh champagne brunch that comes with a magnificent view. A free-flow of Italian-American favourites await, such as Lavo's signature one-pound meatball, fresh Irish oysters and charred octopus with fennel and red wine vinaigrette.

On top of the usual free-flow beverage choices, which include Veuve Clicquot champagne and Bloody Mary cocktails, Lavo will also be offering a selection of brand new bourbon cocktails such as Maker's Manhattan for the occasion. If your dad's a meat lover, this Father's Day dining promotion will have him groaning with satisfaction. Jamie's Italian's Fantastic Father's Day plank ($108++), which is only available at its Vivocity outlet, features hulking portions of meat. A 1kg slab of oven-roasted higher-welfare Australian Tomahawk takes centrestage, accompanied by sides of kurobuta sausages, Shepherd's pie, and polenta chips. Make sure you knock back a refreshing pint of Tiger Beer (or make that two!) with Pops, as the restaurant is having a special promotional price of $12++ per 500ml (U.P. $16.95++).

Over at its Forum outlet, Father's Day a la carte specials include an appetiser of spicy & cheesy shrimp bruschetta ($18.95++) and an entree of braised pork knuckles with late season tomatoes and creamy polenta ($38.95++). All dads dining at the Forum outlet also get a free serving of Trevor's tiramisu (named after Jamie's father) with every purchase of a main course - a cocktail that is an aromatic blend of freshly brewed premium coffee, fine brandy, coffee and orange liqueur, Italian mascarpone cream, and a sprinkle of fragrant orange zest.

WOLFGANG'S STEAKHOUSE SINGAPORE

Another one for the carnivores, this Father's Day dining promotion is inspired by the founders' - father-son duo Wolfgang and Peter Zwiener - close relationship and love of food. It includes a fresh Tuna Tartar appetiser and hearty Potato Leek Soup to start, before you take your pick from either the Colorado Lamb Chop or USDA Prime Ribeye Steak, which are dry-aged in an onsite proprietary designed ageing room for 28 days on average.

The entree will be accompanied by two classic steakhouse sides, with a choice of German Potatoes, Sauteed Mushrooms or Creamed Spinach. You'll round up the meal with a creamy Tiramisu. Wine connoisseurs, listen up: There's an extensive wine list at the restaurant featuring over 300 bottles that are suited to a range of tastes.

MITZO

Papa will be treated like a king at Cantonese restaurant Mitzo's Enhanced Weekend Brunch, which will feature premium ingredients and exquisite tastes. The brunch will feature an exclusive dish for Father's Day - a fresh Seabass topped with red yeast & garlic in soya sauce. You and Dad can also indulge in infinite servings of over 50 different types of Cantonese dim sum dishes, roasts, soups and desserts alongside other special dishes such as steamed bamboo clam with minced pork sauce, lobster with minced pork & soya milk congee, and stir-fried abalone with asparagus in X.O. sauce. Make brunching with Daddy more fun when you treat him to A "Lazy Breakfast" buffet at Alley on 25 at Andaz Singapore. Every father will receive a complimentary glass of its 'Godfather' cocktail, made from Great King Blended whisky and Amaretto, with a slice of orange. The spread includes a Continental station that comes with a variety of breads from Tiong Bahru bakery, gluten-free cereals, waffles, cold cuts and a selection of superfoods at the salad bar. Not that you need a good deal to treat your dad, but why miss it when there's one, right? All fathers get to enjoy 50 per cent off Plate's Father's Day Buffet Lunch as well as a complimentary glass of house wine or a bottle of house beer. Expect delicious fare such as fresh seafood, appetisers such as a Smoked Salmon and Cold Cut Platter and a Classic Nicoise Salad, and piping hot dishes such as a Double-boiled Chicken Ginseng Soup and Wine-stewed Beef with Russet Potatoes. There's also Oven-roasted Cajun Chicken and a Grilled Pork Chorizo & Herb Sausage Platter along with a side of Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas.

Carousel is known for its mouthwatering local and international delicacies, so take Dad here if he's a traditionalist at heart. We recommend the high tea session (they have lunch and dinner too), as you'd get really interesting bites such as Tau Kwa Pau (Tau Kwa stuffed with Minced Duck and served with Special Chilli Sauce), Yam Abacus Seeds (Suan Pan Zi), Singapore Laksa, Popiah from a live station and Oyster Omelette. Don't forget to check out the Teh Tarik Live Station for an interesting experience!

OPUS BAR & GRILL

Nothing beats the taste of smoky, tender, juicy meat that is just slightly charred. So treat your father to a heavenly meal at Opus Bar & Grill, which is introducing a new one kilogram grill-smoked bone-in Australian Rosedale Ruby sirloin ($138++, serves two). Seasoned with its chef's special marinade, the meat is masterfully grilled over an open-flame charcoal grill before being smoked to finish, giving it an alluring woodsy aroma. Served with fragrant dried rose petal salt, the steak is presented in a closed glass dome for an Instagram-worthy theatrical presentation as diners get a hit of the heady scents as the dome is lifted with a flourish.

A special six-course set menu that marries Western and Asian flavours in an intricate fashion is what you will enjoy at Cantonese restaurant Hai Tien Lo for its Father's Day dining promotion. Specially created by Executive Chef Ben Zeng, its "Loving Father's Menu" include a New Zealand Rack of Lamb in Fresh Mushroom Sauce, Baked Silver Sea Perch Fillet with Almond Flakes in Champagne Sauce as well as Wok-fried Lobster with Crispy Fermented Minced Garlic and Dried Chilli with Fish Noodles. Dads get a complimentary glass of white wine, too.

You can also opt for its Weekend Dim Sum Buffet, which has an impressive selection of 50 dim sum creations and à la carte signatures. Must-try dishes include Poached Dumplings with Prawns in Szechuan Spicy Chilli Sauce, Deep-fried Soft Shell Crabs with Chilli Crab Meat Sauce and Wok-fried Pork Spare Ribs in Barbecue Sauce. Celebrating Dad is also about spending quality time with him as a family, so communal dining is a great way to strengthen bonds as you feast and chat over shared dishes. Cantonese restaurant Yan has six- or nine-course sets for their Father's Day promotion that are perfect for just that.

The nine-course set menu features dishes such as Yàn's Signature Roast Crispy Suckling Pig served three ways, a nourishing Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Ginseng, a Steamed 'Soon Hock' Fish with Light Soya Sauce and a tasty Bi Feng Tang Prawn with Fragrant Garlic, Black Bean and Chilli, while the six-course menu includes a Yàn BBQ Platter of Roasted Duck, Crunchy Jellyfish Head, Roasted Pork Belly, and Barbecue Honey Pork, a toothsome Braised Hashima Broth with Crab Meat, a Steamed Sea Perch Fillet with Golden Mushroom and a Braised 6-Head Whole Abalone with Vegetables "Mee Pok" in Supreme Oyster Sauce.

If Dad prefers a more casual, laidback setting, make it a day out for the whole family by taking him to Little Creatures, which will have fun activities for everyone as their Father's Day dining promotion. There will be a terrarium/crop growing workshop for the kiddos from 10am to 3pm, where they then get to present Dad with a personalised planter that will surely put a smile on his face. The adults get to enjoy a live acoustic performance by musical duo Christo and Harley as they serenade chillout tunes from 3pm.

Don't forget to treat Dad to a sumptuous breakfast from the eatery's all-day breakfast menu, which includes dishes such as the luxurious Eggs Benedict Lobster, a 200g Beef Striploin with egg and fries and the Little Creatures Breakfast that comes with the full works: Pork sausage, tomato, mushrooms, egg and smoked bacon with a side of Ciabatta.
