The annual Teppei Syokudo x Hachikyo event is happening once again for a limited time of only 4 days. So if you're a fan of authentic Japanese food, here's why you should head down to the nearest Teppei Syokudo between 4 - 7 March!
FYI, the chefs from Hachikyo in Hokkaido, Japan will be flying over just to serve you a bowl of the Overflowing Ikura Don. So you don't have to travel miles to enjoy this Japanese delicacy.
For those of you who have not had Ikura before, it's essentially fish eggs (salmon roe) that burst with flavours as you bite down on it. Teppei Syokudo presents the Ikura atop a steaming hot bowl of Japanese rice covered in heaps of Ikura orbs that spills out of the bowl - in a good way.
It is quite the sensory experience and with the number of ingredients that you're served, it is worth the money you're paying.
For sashimi lovers (which is essentially all of us), you can get a free upgrade to the Ikura Kaisen don. However, this is only available for ShopBack GO users.
Both the Overflowing Ikura Don and Overflowing Ikura Kaisen Don come in three sizes:
- Overflowing Ikura Don: Small ($27.80), Medium ($32.80), Large ($59.80)
- Overflowing Ikura Kaisen Don: Small ($32.80), Medium ($36.80), Large ($72.80)
