How low can you go? Circles.Life has just launched a $5 plan for people who use less than 2GB of data per month.
The plan comes with 2GB data, 50 minutes of talk time, and 25 SMSes.
Customers who are hungry for more data can customise their plans and opt for boost options, starting with 1GB for $8, 2GB for $12, or 30 minutes talktime for $5 and 200 minutes talktime for $10.
All in, that means you can comfortably get 4GB of data per month for just S$17, certainly an interesting proposition.

"It's been an incredible 3 years for Circles.Life revolutionizing the industry. During the past 3 years, we have changed the average data use from 4GB to 12GB/ month through our Base Plan. While this serves people who need a lot of data, there are those who are looking for a great experience but don't need that much data," said Delbert Ty, Head of Marketing in Circles.Life. "We are launching the $5 Plan to give people more power through options that enable them to control their telco needs."
Unlike the $0/month no-contract plan, it doesn't seem as though you'll be required to purchase any service top-ups to maintain your line.
Things are definitely heating up in the MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) space, so don't be surprised if the other operators launch their own low-usage plan equivalents soon.
