Tesla has officially rolled out Steam integration for its latest Model S and X cars as part of its holiday update.

Tesla took to Twitter in a promo video featuring games such as Doom Eternal, Crab Game, and Cyberpunk 2077 being played on Tesla's infotainment system running Steam Beta.

Both Model S and X cars' infotainment systems run on AMD's RDNA 2 GPUs, which are the technology behind the PlayStation 5.

Tesla has been building its library of in-vehicle games over the past few years and has added titles such as Cuphead, PUBG Mobile and Fallout Shelter to its offerings.

By bringing Steam to its vehicles, though, Tesla is adding more than just a game or two to the growing list. The automaker said in its announcement that the integration will bring thousands of games to the aforementioned cars.

It is highly likely that these games can't be played while the vehicle is in motion due to safety measures set by Tesla.

In addition to Steam integration, Tesla's holiday update also gives owners access to Apple Music integration for its infotainment systems.

You can now schedule Light Shows on multiple vehicles simultaneously, and view the cabin camera from the Tesla app while in Dog Mode or Sentry Mode.

Tesla Singapore commented that the Steam integration will only be available on the Model S and X, which are yet to be released here.

We believe that the two cars will make headlines here once it's released, given that the Model Y was number one on the sales charts in Singapore as the best-selling car for September 2022.

Tesla did however comment that its synchronised Light Show is currently available in Singapore with the latest update.
