With pregnancy comes its taboos, but local actress Rebecca Lim didn't let that stop her from watching her own horror film.

On a recent episode of Just Swipe Lah uploaded on Oct 20, host Seow Sin Nee attended the premiere of the new local thriller Confinement, where she spoke to director Kelvin Tong and the cast, Rebecca and Cynthia Koh.

"Watching the film now while you're pregnant, will you tell your baby, 'Don't be scared'?" Sin Nee asked Rebecca, who is around 25 weeks into her pregnancy.

The 37-year-old responded: "Actually I've only told myself not to be scared."

Rebecca added that she had already watched Confinement before the premiere, and at her first viewing, the film still managed to scare her although she already knew the plot.

"So I told my baby, 'Okay, relax, relax'," she recalled.

In an interview with AsiaOne in February, she revealed that she's not a fan of the genre and only watches it because of her husband Matthew Webster. When she does, she "watches half the screen and listens at half volume".

Bringing up Webster who was at the premiere, Sin Nee cheekily questioned: "Will you hide in his embrace if you're scared?"

"Actually it's not that romantic," said Rebecca, laughing.

Rebecca and Webster tied the knot on Nov 27, 2022, after being engaged for over a year.

Last month, she announced her pregnancy, sharing that she was four-and-a-half months pregnant and her baby would be due around February 2024.

Speaking to AsiaOne recently, Rebecca mentioned how she and her husband have "zero" preparation for the arrival of their baby.

"I only have one cot from one of my friends. We haven't put up the baby room and have not bought anything yet because we're in the midst of moving house, so I want to move house first and then see what we actually need and the space we have.

"I don't want to overbuy and then everything is wasted. So I want to wait until after we move then we start to prepare," she shared.
