Bubble tea, with its sweet tapioca pearls and refreshing milk tea, is an irresistible treat on a hot day. And ending off a meal with the drink is a fairly common ritual for some of us.
But what if you can combine your dessert and your main course together?
In an attempt to take your tastebuds on a wild ride, Malaysia-based Crab Generation Restaurant came up with a sweet spin to a hawker delight.
Enter the monstrosity that is the Brown Sugar Pearl flavoured crab.

In a post on May 4, the restaurant debuted their newest dish on Facebook; the dish features black sugar tapioca pearls atop a whole crab, with a special milky sauce that has a similar colour to milk tea.
This is not the first time the restaurant has come up with bizarre sweet-savoury dishes that may blow your mind; they previously released a crab dish with Oreo and cheese as toppings, in a seaweed cream sauce.
Our lactose-intolerant stomach is already churning.
Though Singapore already has its share of special bubble-tea-inspired cuisine (bubble tea steamboat and boba pancakes anyone?) not to mention bubble tea shops in every mall, curious fans will have to make the trip up north if they want to try this unique dish.
We haven't come across any reviews online yet, but if you've tried it, be sure to let us know.
With the bubble tea craze in full force, could we be seeing more bubble tea-infused hawker fare soon? We won't be surprised.
