Calling all followers — AsiaOne has launched a new app that is now available for download.

AsiaOne's previous app will stop receiving new content from Aug 5 so users are advised to download the new app if they wish to continue getting the latest in news, entertainment, lifestyle and tech.

Is this an app update or a separate app?

This is not an update. AsiaOne has launched a brand-new app.

Why is there a new app? 

We are in the midst of transferring app ownership from Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) to AsiaOne Online Pte Ltd. AsiaOne is now a joint venture between SPH and mm2 Asia, Asia's leading news and entertainment media companies respectively.

Our latest app is also more reliable.

Will I still be able to use the previous app?

No. That app will stop receiving new content from Aug 5 and will be decommissioned in due time.

There are two AsiaOne apps in the stores. Which app should I download? 

The new AsiaOne app features our logo with a black background. You can also visit here to ensure that you are downloading the right version.
